Revd Margaret Cave

Name Revd Margaret Cave Margaret Cave 2016
Region London
Profile Margaret is the Team Rector in the East Greenwich Team ministry in southeast London where she sees evangelism and enabling intentional evangelism as a key part of her ministry in a large fast changing and rapidly growing parish in South East London. Margaret has always understood evangelism to be at the heart of her Christian ministry as she has invited people to hear and respond to the gospel and where she has shared and prayed with people as they have come to faith; indeed she designed and led Christian introductory groups before Alpha! She has been a counsellor at Billy Graham missions and led local follow up groups. She has led and spoken at ecumenical holiday clubs for hundreds of children and sought to draw in adults as well. She has been invited to speak at other churches and groups and been involved in the leadership of local mission and evangelistic projects. She has worked with Church Army evangelists to reach out to vulnerable adults on a deprived estate. In a recent post, Margaret set up and led a fresh expression of church in an emerging community which sought to reach out into the community and welcomed everyone in to discover more about God. As an Ignatian spiritual director, Margaret seeks to find ways of tapping into the current longing for spirituality in her approach to evangelism. Margaret is a contributor to Pause for Thought on Radio 2.
